HTC Evo 3D 3 Stars

« Back to reviews HTC Evo 3D

Look and feel

You get a huge 4.3inch Gorilla Glass display – but it’s set in a weighty chassis that won’t appeal to a lot of people.

Ease of use

With HTC Sense 3.0 and the latest flavour of Android, the handset is great to use – but finding any 3D content was painful.

Features

There are only a couple of mobiles that can shoot in 3D, but still we weren’t impressed with its two-megapixels resolution, however connectivity is excellent – as it should be for a £500 Android handset.

Performance

The 1GB RAM and the 1.2GHz chip make sure the phone runs fast and smooth, even if the camera is unimpressive.

Battery life

A fully charged battery will last just less than a day – but turn on the 3D and the juice will drain away really quickly.

Pros:
3D facility; latest Android; HTC Sense 3.0; huge screen; good build quality; excellent dual-core chip.
Cons:
3D facility; latest Android; HTC Sense 3.0; huge screen; good build quality; excellent dual-core chip.
Rating:

Final verdict: 3 Stars

If you’re desperate to have 3D on your phone you’ll probably want to give the Evo 3D a try – but we don’t think the 3D is really ready as yet and found it just caused headaches and eye strain.
