LG Viewty GT 3 Stars
Look and feel
A rather glam and yet low-price handset, which looks good in its metal-look coat and cute colour. But be aware it can scratch easily.
Ease of use
There’s a resistive touchscreen, rather than the more expensive capacitive type, but LG has thoughtfully included a stylus to help you use it.
We were pleasantly surprised to see a 5-megapixel camera at this price point – but not so pleased at the omission of a 3.5mm headphone jack.
If you’re calling or texting, you’ll enjoy the experience, but web browsing was sluggish and the display was not always as responsive as we’d have liked.
A single charge on the battery will get you more than a day’s worth of use.
- Nice styling, neat size, good snapper.
- Wi-Fi is missing and the touchscreen disappoints.
- Look and Feel 4 Stars
- Ease of use 2 Stars
- Features 3 Stars
- Performance 3 Stars
- Battery life 4 Stars
Final verdict: 3 Stars
For anyone who wants a touchscreen phone, but doesn’t have a big budget, the Viewty GT could be the answer. It’s a neat size, but don’t expect a quick browsing experience or a super-responsive touchscreen.
