Nokia 700 3 Stars
Look and feel
A Gorilla glass screen sits on a part-metal body. The Nokia 700 is really light, looks good and has a touch of style about it.
Ease of use
Nokia has managed to create a more user-friendly OS in the form of Symbian Belle, so using email and running your social networks should be easy.
A good screen offers a decent net surfing experience, and the multimedia software is simple to use. Connectivity is taken care of by Wi-Fi, HSPDA and there’s NFC too. However, the app offering lets it down.
The 2GB storage is rather disappointing (although it is upgradeable to 32 GB) The five-megapixel camera is good and the sat nav impressed, while the 1GHz processor kept everything running smoothly.
You should get a day out of a full battery – unless you use much in the way of Wi-Fi or GPS.
- Clear display, decent net surfing, NFC offered.
- Few apps, only 2GB of storage, Symbian Belle is not comparable with iOS or Android.
- Look and Feel 5 Stars
- Ease of use 4 Stars
- Features 3 Stars
- Performance 3 Stars
- Battery life 3 Stars
Final verdict: 3 Stars
The Nokia 700 is a really decent handset that you can pick up for nothing on a number of good-value contracts, but if you love your apps this won’t be the phone for you.
