Samsung Omnia 7 4 Stars

« Back to reviews Samsung Omnia 7

Look and feel

A truly fantastic screen combines with a high sense of style and the handset’s metal back to produce a very attractive device.

Ease of use

We couldn’t really fault the performance of the Omnia 7, except for a somewhat strangely placed power button.

Features

You’ll find Windows Phone 7 handsets have mostly the same features – but Samsung has managed to squeeze in a good camera and a few extra apps.

Performance

All Windows Phone 7 devices have a 1GHz processor, and it helps the Omnia 7 to offer a speedy and responsive user experience.

Battery life

We were surprised to find that a single battery charge took us through into a second day, despite that fantastic display.

Pros:
Solidly built, stylish design; fantastic screen.
Cons:
Lacking in a choice of special apps.
Rating:
  • Look and Feel 5 Stars
  • Ease of use 4 Stars
  • Features 4 Stars
  • Performance 4 Stars
  • Battery life 4 Stars

Final verdict: 4 Stars

The Omnia 7 should attract some attention with those good looks and compact design. It is sure to be a hit with Samsung aficionados, and should lure some new fans too.
