Sony Ericsson Cedar 3 Stars« Back to reviews
Look and feel
We’ve seen plenty more classy-looking handsets – and that silver plastic at the rear doesn’t help. Nor will the curved chassis be to everyone’s taste. It is, however, compact and light.
Ease of use
We found the device a breeze to use, but unless you want to be confused, don’t bother using the manual, which is hugely complicated.
It’s a shame that there are no advanced facilities to delight in, nor a good snapper, but you do get the benefits of 1 3.5mm headphone jack and Bluetooth.
Web browsing is not its strength, although the Cedar does a pretty reasonable job of the basic tasks.
The benefit of the small display is that it doesn’t drain much power, so you’ll breeze through a couple of days on a full charge.
- Super price; far from weighty, aesthetically pleasing.
- Plastic chassis, lacking features, unsatisfactory camera.
- Look and Feel 4 Stars
- Ease of use 3 Stars
- Features 2 Stars
- Performance 3 Stars
- Battery life 3 Stars
Final verdict: 3 Stars
While the Cedar may be lacking in advanced features, it does come in at a bargain price, is a breeze to use, and won’t weigh down your pocket.
