Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc 4 Stars

« Back to reviews Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc

Look and feel

The Xperia Arc is a delightful phone that feels great in the hand and is pocket friendly too. But its major feature is its sharp and high-quality screen.

Ease of use

We’re not keen on Timescape and we’d hoped for a better keyboard, but nevertheless most tasks can be carried out easily thanks to the responsive touch-display and Android interface.

Features

Excellent camera, really decent media offerings and a choice of thousands of Apps to download from Android Market.

Performance

There are speedier phones available, but that 1GHZ processor offers enough power to run the built-in functions and to power most apps you might want to run.

Battery life

A full battery charge will take you right through the day, possibly beyond, but if you’re off for the weekend remember your charger.

Pros:
Top-notch sharp 4.2in screen, great camera, slim and light body, speedy Android Gingerbread operating system.
Cons:
Timescape fails to impress; lack of Mac compatibility; some minor issues with software usability.
Rating:
  • Look and Feel 5 Stars
  • Ease of use 4 Stars
  • Features 5 Stars
  • Performance 4 Stars
  • Battery life 3 Stars

Final verdict: 4 Stars

Excellently built handset that has three outstanding features – its screen, camera and Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
