Apple iPhone 4 roll out could inspire mobile recycling

Apple iPhone 4 roll out could inspire mobile recycling

Mobile recycling could be set to increase around the world as consumers in 17 more countries prepare themselves for the release of the iPhone 4.

The arrival of the revolutionary handset in nations such as Australia, Ireland and Italy could tempt many to recycle their used phone and put the cash towards buying the Apple device.

Customers in the wave of countries set to enjoy the iPhone 4 roll out will join those in the UK in having access to the popular gadget.

Features that may be behind the success of the device - which sold 1.7 million units within three days of release in the US, UK, Germany, France and Japan last month - include a five-megapixel camera and video recording technology.

It also offers the newest operating system in the world and up to 40 per cent more talk time.

Finland, Netherlands, Spain and Switzerland are among the other spots set to sell the iPhone 4 from tomorrow (July 30th).

Julie Snape, head of marketing at Envirofone, says: "Why not join the rest of the world and invest in an iPhone 4? A great way to do this is to trade in your old handset for cash."
