Three offer could tempt users to recycle old mobile

Recycling an old mobile phone may never have been so tempting, after Three announced it is making a number of the latest models available on The One Plan, its popular tariff.

The network is offering three smartphones - the Sony Ericsson Zylo, Nokia E63 and Nokia 5230 - for no charge when people sign up to the deal.

According to Three, The One Plan is a "simple and competitive" tariff that aims to give people the chance to talk, text and browse the web freely.

Such a possibility may excite many mobile users, leading them to recycle their used phone in order to join the company's scheme.

The good news for fussy consumers is that the trio of devices feature a range of specifications, including QWERTY keyboards, touchscreens and a candy bar design.

Three was recently voted the UK's best mobile broadband provider by customers as part of a YouGov survey, with the firm finishing top in ten of the 12 categories.

Jon Butler, creative brand manager at Envirofone, says: "When offers like these are available, why not upgrade? You could get cash for your old mobile phone by trading it in."
