Learn Online with our Guide to Teams
After entering yet another lockdown, schools are having to teach online and through teams. Some students and parents are wondering how to access teams through the devices they have access to. As a result, we have created a guide on how to access online teams through numerous different devices you may have access to.
Computers and Mobile Devices
First on our list is accessing teams on a computer or mobile device. The method of joining teams on computers and mobile devices are essentially the same with a few minor differences. There are two different procedures which can be used, they are as following:
-
Access the internet browser on your device
-
Open your email provider either through the browser on your device or the email app
-
Once you receive the link for your meeting you can join the meeting by pressing on it
Or you can do the following:
-
Install the official team's app on your device (through the app store on mobile, or online or through an app store on PC)
-
Once it is installed you can log in or sign up with your main email
-
Enter your meeting with your tutor or teacher using the meeting ID and password provided to you from your email
Xbox and Playstation Consoles
Second on our list is the method to join teams on your Xbox or PlayStation consoles. Many people are unaware that you can join team meetings on your game consoles, but you actually can. It is very easy to do so with our step by step guides below.
Playstation:
-
Go to the library and find options for games and applications
-
Access your internet browser on your console (internet browser on PS4, www with dots around it)
-
Login to your email through your browser
-
Click on Join your team meeting through the link that will be sent to you by your tutor or teacher
-
Your controllers can be used to interact and traverse your browser and team call.
Xbox:
-
It is recommended that you have a keyboard to plug into your Xbox’s USB port
-
Go to the library and find options for games and applications
-
Find Microsoft Edge and select
-
Login to your email through your browser
-
Click on Join your team meeting through the link that will be sent to you by your tutor or teacher
-
Once in the meeting, you can use your controller to move around
Joining teams online is a great way to transition to remote learning, not only is it easy to do but you can adapt to very quickly, and with these tips we hope that you or your children will be able to continue to learn, keep in touch, feel socially connected or gain information from teachers.
Good luck to all of you throughout lockdown and try to stay connected with friends and family online.
