What Will Be Revealed at WWDC 2025?
From June 9th to 13th, Apple will host its annual Worldwide Developers Conference — WWDC — giving fans, developers and tech followers a first look at what Apple has been building behind the scenes. The event is completely free to watch online, and while September is still reserved for the next iPhone reveal, WWDC is all about software, platforms and the occasional surprise product drop.
This year, however, expectations are a little mixed. Rumours and leaks online suggest WWDC 2025 may not be one of Apple’s more explosive events — but that doesn’t mean there’s nothing to look forward to.

What to Expect at WWDC 2025
Based on everything circulating so far, WWDC 2025 is expected to focus heavily on Apple’s software lineup rather than hardware. That means deeper dives into the next wave of operating systems, including:
- iOS 19
- iPadOS 19
- macOS 16
- watchOS 12
- visionOS 3
We also expect some attention on Apple AI, especially after device-side intelligence became a major focus for competitors like Google and Samsung. Apple has been relatively quiet about its AI plans, so WWDC offers the perfect stage to reveal how AI will fit into the next generation of Apple devices.
Hardware-wise, this year appears quieter. In the past, we’ve seen surprise reveals like the Apple Vision Pro at WWDC 2023 — but early leaks suggest Apple may be saving its biggest hardware upgrades for later in the year.
Still, Apple is famous for keeping secrets. A last-minute reveal isn’t out of the question.
Is Apple Developing New Products?
If Apple does decide to surprise us with new hardware, these are the three products fans are hoping to see:
- Apple Vision Pro 2 — rumoured to be a more affordable version designed to compete with upcoming Android XR devices.
- Apple Flip — Apple’s first attempt at a folding smartphone, which would finally put them head-to-head with Samsung’s Z Flip lineup.
- Apple Home Robot — an early rumour described as a “robotic iPad assistant” designed for around-the-house tasks. The idea faded quickly… but could the concept return?
Even if WWDC 2025 ends up focusing mainly on software, we’ll be tuning in and breaking down every announcement. Some years are quieter than others — and sometimes that simply means Apple is saving its biggest surprises for later.

The iPhone 17 is already rumoured to bring major design changes later this year, so it’s possible Apple’s attention is firmly on its next flagship. Still, we’re hopeful WWDC 2025 delivers at least one exciting surprise — and we’d love to know what you’re expecting too.
