iPhone battery health
Every refurbished iPhone we sell has at least 80% battery health. Here’s what that means and how to check it.
What “battery health 80%+” means
iPhone battery health is a percentage that compares your battery’s current capacity to when it was new. 100% means brand-new; 80% means it holds 80% of its original charge.
Apple considers a battery in good shape down to 80% — below that you start to notice meaningfully shorter battery life. That’s why we guarantee every refurbished iPhone we sell is at 80% or above when it ships.
We measure battery health on every device during our refurbishment check. Anything under 80% gets a new battery before it can be sold as refurbished.
How to check your iPhone’s battery health
- Open Settings.
- Scroll to Battery.
- Tap Battery Health & Charging.
- Look at Maximum Capacity — that’s the percentage.
If yours shows under 80% within the first 6 months, that’s covered by warranty — see below.
Battery warranty
Batteries are covered for 6 months from delivery (the rest of the iPhone is covered for 12). If your battery health drops below 80% in the first 6 months, we’ll replace the battery free of charge.
After 6 months, batteries are treated as normal wear and aren’t covered. You can pay for a battery swap any time though — email us for a quote.
Getting more from your battery
- Turn on Optimised Battery Charging in Battery Health settings — it slows charging past 80% overnight to reduce battery wear.
- Don’t leave the phone in direct sunlight or in a hot car — heat is the biggest battery killer.
- Use Apple-certified (MFi) cables and 20W+ adapters. Counterfeit chargers can damage the battery management chip.
- Update iOS regularly — battery management improves with most releases.
