About Age Concern GX Plus CIC
Age Concern GX Plus is a local charity for older people in Gerrards Cross, Chalfont St Peter and Chalfont St Giles.
At the heart of it is our Information Centre at 8 Market Place, Chalfont St Peter, open 9am to 2pm Monday to Friday. Anyone can drop in for help with anything from finding a local social group to getting advice on local services, and there is always someone there to talk to.
Around the centre we run a full week of clubs and activities: lunch clubs and coffee mornings, monthly pub lunches, chair yoga, a singing group for people living with memory loss or dementia, drawing, knit and natter, games and jigsaws, and our First Tuesday Talks. We also run subsidised chiropody clinics and an ear wax removal clinic.
We were registered as a charity in April 2023, taking on the work of Age Concern Gerrards Cross, The Chalfonts and District, which had supported the same three communities for decades.
Money raised goes straight into keeping the Information Centre open and the clubs running.
