Size & design
The Huawei P30 Lite lives up to its name. At just a touch over 6” long, it’s compact and weighs less than its big brother, the Huawei P30 Pro. Single and hybrid dual sim handsets are available, so look out for that if you’re keen to try using two phone numbers simultaneously.
Display
Despite its small size, the P30 Lite still offers a decent display at 6.15” and a full 1080p resolution. The built-in screen recorder tool is great news if you ever need to capture what’s happening on your phone screen. Swipe down from the top of the display to access Screen Recorder, or start a new recording even faster by holding the power and volume up buttons simultaneously.
Camera
Like your lenses? You’ll find three of them on the back of the P30 Lite, including a 2-megapixel depth lens, 8-megapixel ultrawide, and 24- or 48-megapixel primary camera, depending on the region where the phone was first sold. There’s a massive 32-megapixel camera on the front, capable of shooting 1080p video at 30fps, making HD video selfies a real possibility!
Software
The Huawei P30 Lite shipped initially with Android 9.0 Pie installed, but now supports Android 10 for the latest OS features. There are some fantastic tools built in too. For instance, you can customise the three-key navigation bar that appears at the bottom of the screen. It’s a nice touch that’s especially useful for left-handers—putting your most-used nav key in reach of your thumb.
