About RSPCA Coventry and District Branch
SPCA Coventry and District Branch has been rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming animals since 1873. We are an independent registered charity: we uphold the values of the national RSPCA, but we are funded completely separately and receive no government funding. Every penny donated to us goes directly to our animal centre at Brownshill Green Farm in Coventry, our home for the last 40 years.
We care for the cats, dogs and their human families across Coventry, Nuneaton, Rugby and Solihull. Our centre has space for 45 dogs and 80 cats, and our fosterers care for many more in their own homes. In 2024 we helped 645 animals and rehomed 98 dogs and 482 cats. We never put a healthy, rehomeable animal to sleep, and some of our animals spend months with us getting the care they need before they are ready for a new family.
Since May 2025 our vet clinic has also been open to the public, offering vet care people can trust at prices they can afford, with basic preventative care starting from 13 pounds.
It costs around 40,000 pounds a month to keep our animal centre open, and our vet bills are often more than 1,000 pounds a week. We rely on donations, fundraising, our charity shops and the generosity of our community to keep going. Every phone you trade in for us helps keep us rescuing and rehoming animals across Coventry and District.
