The Samsung Galaxy S25 smartphone was released on February 7th, 2025, alongside the iconic Ultra and Plus models. It’s also been revealed that a thinner version of the S25 will be released later this year, called the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge. The phone performed really well, with the Ultra model gaining the most attention due to its 6.9” screen, 256+GB of RAM, and 100x Space Zoom. With all the attention of the S25 out of the way, many online articles and rumours have popped up regarding the Samsung Galaxy S26. And whilst we still have a year to prepare for its arrival, it doesn’t stop us from getting ahead of the latest gossip!
Please note that all information in this blog is based on rumours and conspiracies. As of yet, there is no confirmed truth regarding the Samsung Galaxy S26.

What is the purpose of the Samsung edge?
There has been a lot of talk about the Galaxy S25 Edge which we mentioned earlier in our blog, and it has also created talk over if we will see it in the S26 range. The simple answer is… we don’t know. Unhelpful as that is, the S26 Edge will only happen if the S25 Edge performs well. If it doesn’t we can see it being scrapped like the Apple Mini Series.
Will there be a Samsung S26 new design?
Another thing we are unsure of is the S26 design. For the S25 Ultra, Samsung made their biggest update by adding flatter sides and rounded edges to the phone design to make it easier to hold. This was received well, so we expect to see this in the S26 Ultra. The camera rings of the S25 were also slightly bolder, but it was nothing special.
In our opinion, we can’t see Samsung making drastic (or any) changes. The S25 and S24 were very disappointing in terms of design alterations, and with Samsung so focused on AI and their advancements in artificial reality, their phone designs have seemed to fall on the back burner. It would be great to get some new colour options, but again who knows if this could happen… we are very unhappy.
What is the camera rumor for the S26 Ultra?
One thing we're more confident about is that the S26 camera could see an improvement, there's been a lot of news floating on the internet about the S26 gaining a 200MP telephoto lens like the Vivo X200 Pro. The Vivo camera is designed by Samsung also, so the fact it isn’t already within the Samsung models is shocking. As well as this, focussing on the cameras sensor, we could see the classic ISOCELL GN sensor getting an upgrade, including a new component that is yet to be revealed.
