The iPad Pro 2020 comes in two sizes: 11” and 12.9”— both of which made their debut in March 2020. Camera
Fancy a photo? The iPad Pro 2020 has a 7-megapixel selfie camera and a pair of rear lenses at 10 and 12 megapixels. A Lidar sensor also allows the 4th generation iPad Pro to run augmented reality (AR) apps—a new addition from the 2018 version. Face ID was introduced in the 3rd generation and is supported here, too, so you can unlock your iPad simply by pointing the camera at your face. Easy peasy!
Software
iPad Pro 2020 runs iPadOS, the mobile operating system developed by Apple specifically for their tablets. This was unveiled in 2019, making the 2020 iPad Pro one of the first tablets built to run iPadOS. Before that, these devices ran a customised version of Apple’s general mobile software, iOS 12. The tablet-specific OS supports home screen widgets and Split View, which allows you to run two apps simultaneously—perfect for that bigger 12.9” screen.
