After what feels like months and months of waiting, we can finally get our hands on the new Samsung Galaxy S25 as it’s now available in stores! Is the Samsung S25 worth it?
Compared to the Galaxy S24 model from 2024, the Galaxy S25 has improved performance speed, browsing energy and sharper quality in imagery. This is all thanks to the Galaxy S25s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, a chipset available in a couple of smartphones in the world. The S25 Series, Xiaomi Series, and Honor Magic Series to name a few. We can’t wait to see how this chipset is upgraded and improved on time, as of yet… it’s doing well.
According to Samsungs official website, all the S25 models automatically arrive with full Galaxy AI features, no need to upcharge for extra features which we love. More will be revealed on the Galaxy AI features later. Finally, the website also stated the S25 will have 3 exclusive colours only available on their official page, Blueback, Coralred and Pinkgold.
What are the camera specs of Samsung S25?
The major upgrade we have caught everyone talking about is the camera improvements on the S25. The Galaxy S25 Ultra has had a massive 50MP upgrade to its ultrawide sensor lens before it was stuck at 12MP. The ultrawide is certainly an improvement with many low-light ultrawide shots appearing sharper compared to the Google Pixel 9 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max low-light functions.

Our Expert's Opinion:
Overall, we are happy with the new Samsung Galaxy S25 and think it’s a great smartphone… but we can’t help but feel like something is missing. The phone has incredible performance, power and camera specs, including that beautiful new 50MP Ultra lens upgrade, but this is all the information we were expecting, it’s a new phone so of course performance, power and camera would be improved.
It would have been great to see more hardware upgrades as we barely got any changes. When Samsung held their Galaxy Unpacked Event, we were a lot more excited over their other announcements like the Android XR Headset, something we fixated on a lot more. Whilst the S25 is a great addition to the S Series family, we are slightly disappointed there were no massive updates to deliver as we had predicted there might be. But what do you think?
