Prepare your MacBook before posting

1. Back up everything to Time Machine, iCloud, or a cloud service. Once we erase it, the data is gone.
2. Sign out of iCloud: System Settings → Apple ID → Sign Out. This switches off Find My Mac.
3. Sign out of iMessage: Messages → Settings → iMessage → Sign Out.
4. If using Apple Silicon: erase with System Settings → General → Transfer or Reset → Erase All Content and Settings.
5. If using Intel: boot into Recovery (Cmd+R during startup), open Disk Utility, erase the disk, then reinstall macOS.

Send it to us

Because MacBooks are higher-value, we use a fully tracked, insured courier service. We send packaging and a label — please use the original Apple box if you have it, or wrap the MacBook in bubble wrap inside a sturdy outer box.
