Selling your iPhone
Trade in your old iPhone in a few minutes. Here’s the process end-to-end and what to do before you post it.
Get an instant quote
Head to sell-my-iphone, pick your model and storage, and answer a few questions about its condition. The price you see is the price we’ve guaranteed for 14 days from your order date.
Pristine = looks new. Good = light marks. Used = visible wear but works perfectly. Broken = something doesn’t work. Pick honestly — we’ll re-quote if it arrives different and you can decline at no cost.
Prepare your iPhone before posting
- Back up your data to iCloud or your computer. Once we factory-reset, the data is gone.
- Sign out of iCloud: Settings → Apple ID → Sign Out. This removes Activation Lock — without this we can’t pay for the device.
- Remove the SIM card and any case or pop socket.
- Factory reset: Settings → General → Transfer or Reset iPhone → Erase All Content and Settings.
If we receive an iPhone still locked to iCloud, we’ll email you with a 14-day grace period to remove it remotely from icloud.com. If it’s still locked after 14 days, we have to process at £0 — so please double-check before posting.
Send it to us
We send you a free Enviropack with everything you need: bag, label, instructions. Drop it at any Post Office. Keep your receipt as proof of postage.
For devices worth over £500 (most current-gen iPhones) we use a fully tracked, insured service. Anything under that goes Royal Mail tracked.
We test it
When your iPhone arrives, our team runs a 70-point check within 1–2 working days: cosmetic grading, screen, battery, every button, every sensor, every radio, and a full factory reset.
If everything matches the condition you picked, we pay straight out. If we find something different (a scratch you didn’t mention, a battery under 80%, a stuck pixel), we’ll send you a counter offer.
Get paid
- Bank transfer: next working day.
- PayPal: usually within 24 hours.
- Envirocash (credit toward a refurbished purchase): instant, plus an extra 7%.
If something’s off
If you get a counter offer you don’t like, you have three options:
- Accept — we pay the new amount.
- Decline — we send the iPhone back to you (you cover return postage, around £4.99).
- Counter-counter offer — reply with what you think is fair and we’ll review.
