iPhone 14 vs iPhone 15 Rumours

As the Apple September Launch event gets closer, Apple fans are buzzing with anticipation, despite the date of the event not being confirmed yet. The focus of this event however is the unveiling of the iPhone 15, which is already sparking many speculations and discussions about its possible features and changes compared to its previous model, the iPhone 14.

That’s why in this blog, we have gathered a list of all the rumoured features expected to be on the iPhone 15, and we'll be diving into a detailed comparison with the iPhone 14. Although the features in this list have been widely speculated by a lot of Apple fans, it’s important to consider that there has been no confirmation from Apple yet, so these features remain unconfirmed.

iPhone 14:

  • CPU – A15
  • Front camera- 12MP
  • Boasts the straight sided phone design.
  • Lighting charging port

iPhone 15:

  • CPU – A16
  • Front camera – 12MP with rumoured 2nd sensor on ultra mode.
  • Rumoured to have slightly curved edges.
  • USB charging point

iPhone 14 features:

To start our comparison, let’s begin with what we already know the iPhone 14, which was released September 16th, 2022. Focussing on the outside design, this device is available in a multitude of colours like yellow, purple, blue, and red with a ceramic shield front and glass black aluminium design. The OLED screen reaches up to 6.1 inches, protected by the phones straight sided design.

Diving deeper, inside the phone, the iPhone 14 has a CPU of A15, and a rear and front camera. This device offers the ultra-wide camera option, with the rear camera having a 12MP main camera and 12MP ultrawide camera. Similarly, the front camera is also 12MP. Finally, the iPhone 14 uses a lighting port charger, which is used to connect Apple mobile devices like iPhones to host computers and other peripherals.

iPhone 15:

In contrast, lets switch to the iPhone 15s RUMOURED features and see how they differ. Focussing on the classic iPhone design, not looking at the Max or Ultra devices, the iPhone 15 should follow the same classic screen size of a 6.1-inch OLED screen. As well as this, it is rumoured that the 15 will adopt a slightly curved edge design, unlike the 14s straight sides, with a matte textured glass rear panel.

Inside the phone, the iPhone 15 is rumoured to have a rear main camera of 48MP and rear ultrawide camera of 12MP, assuming the ultrawide camera is a feature considering it has been for the last few models. Looking at the front camera, the iPhone 15 may possibly have a 12MP and even a 2nd sensor on ultra mode. Another big change that Apple fans may see with the new iPhone 15 is the possible USB charging port, moving away from the Lighting Port like on the iPhone 14.

Besides this, there has been other rumours of the iPhone 15 continuing to inherit the dynamic island look like the 14, and for the battery life to be much longer and better.
